Today the boys played a really tough game against Macedon. The boys seemed a bit slow to get going in the first quarter, with Macedon taking the game right up to us. After quarter time the boys started to get their hands on the ball but werent using it very well. As the game went on we started running better and using the ball well and things started falling into place. It was a great game to watch with both sides giving their all. Well done tigers, your endeavour all year round has really made me proud. We finished off the day by hoping back on the bus we travelled from Lancefield to Macedon on and went off to Maccas for lunch. The boys were all well behaved and had a great time

On Sunday we played Macedon who were second on the ladder and are playing in the finals. The team played extremely well, as they have been for the last couple of weeks. Their desperation and commitment for the ball and their ball carrier was fantastic. The voice around the ground to help their team mates out has slowly been getting better over the last couple of weeks and was evident on the weekend.When moving the ball forward with constructive handballs they were able to link up well and catch the Macedon team off guard which created scoring opportunities. The only time Macedon looked strong was when we rushed our kicks which meant that they were able to rebound and put our backs under pressure. To our backlines credit they continued to clear the ball time and time again and played really well for the whole game. All the guys and girl had some kind of input into the game which resulted in a close score at the end. We would like to thank Todd, Shelly, Cathy and all the parents for their support and help with various jobs throughout the season as it has certainly made our jobs as coaches enjoyable and easy. Lastly, I would also like to that the players for the season, you are a great bunch of kids and it has been pleasing to see you develop as a team.

Well done boys for your game today at macedon. Due to soreness/injury we moved players around a lot but we all looked at playing roles. Good quick play and great team work.
Overall we are starting to play really well as a team and looking for the hands off hand pass, regular season is now finished and we are off to finals!!! Home final against Wandong next Sunday .I am so happy with the improvement with all of you. It is now up to you, not Dayne and I .
