Smoke Free Policy
The Lancefield Junior Football Club recognises the risks associated with smoking and in particular the potential dangers that passive smoking (inhaling second hand smoke) has on both Adults and Children who attend Lancefield Junior Football Club activities such as training, games and functions. As part of this recognition the club has adopted the following No Smoking policy to promote a healthy, family friendly environment.
The club recognises the importance of educating club members around the benefits of participating in a smoke free environment especially in a junior environment where some of the children are at an impressionable age. Under common law the club also has a legal duty of care to ensure volunteers, players and officials are not exposed to potentially harmful situations.
This policy forms part of the requirements of AFL accreditation in the Good Sports Program.
This policy applies to all members, officials, coaches, players and visitors of the Lancefield Junior Football Club.
