Marty Kelliher, one the clubs finest and most resilient servants for close to 30 years was one of eight people recognised for their service to club and association with the presentation of a VAFA Certificate of Merit at the season launch on Wednesday night. Marty’s contribution to the club is difficult to summarise but includes 80 games as a player, 3 years a secretary, 3 years as president, current vice president (plus long period of service in various other committee roles), multiple years as a team manager, current member of VAFA investigations committee, current reserves club umpire, current club tribunal advocate, life member and a truck load of club awards for service plus every match day task there is and then some.
