The Jacaranda Hotel Grafton Tigers AFL club have had their first hit out for 2012 hosting the Summerland league premiers from 2011 , the Lismore Swans at JJ Lawrence oval on Saturday 31st March, as expected, it was a very close affair between the two 2011 premiership winning sides with the game going right down to the final seconds of the match.

Are the Tigers going to be ready for 2012?
Coach Adi Campbell is already planning for another crack at the flag for 2012 and has announced that training for the current premiers will "kick off" on Thursday 12th January at Ellem Oval starting at 6:00pm.
Training will then be held every Tuesday and Thursday starting at the same time.
Prior to all this though, the Tigers will be having a "meet and greet" BBQ on Thursday 15th December at Ellem Oval from 5:30pm to welcome some new recruits to our club and all players planning to play for 2012 are encouraged to attend.
The Tigers held their annual presentation night at the Jacaranda Hotel on Saturday evening 17th September with a good gathering in attendance to congratulate our award winners for 2011.
The AFLNC Seniors Presentation Night was held on Saturday 10th September 2011 at the Coffs Harbour Hotel.
As you would assume, the Grafton Tigers and Port Macquarie Magpies dominated the night collecting a large percentage of the trophies up for grabs.
Congratulations to Daniel Zacek who added the AFLNC Seniors 2011 Best and Fairest Award to his title of Premiership Captain from the weekend before.
IT had been a long wait for Grafton to finally win a premiership, but the outpouring from players and supporters alike after the final siren sounded on Saturday proved the wait had been worth it.
The Grafton Tigers have booked themselves a place in the North Coast AFL grand final after defeating the Port Macquarie Magpies by 33 points in the second semi final of the North Coast AFL competition played in wet and windy conditions at Coffs Harbours BCU stadium on Saturday 20th August.

The all conquering Grafton Tigers have secured the 2011 North Coast AFL minor premiership in style with solid victories in the last 3 weeks over 3rd placed South Coffs Swans, 2nd placed Port Macquarie Magpies and last week knocked out the reigning premiers, Sawtell Saints from finals contention.
