This Sunday at 11am the North Ballarat Rebels will take on the Calder Cannons in the TAC Cup Elimination Final held at Visy Park, Carlton.
Both teams competed against each other in Round 20 and it was the Cannons that ran away with a comfortable win after an even contest for 3 quarters.
The Rebels will welcome back 2 major playmakers into this week’s line up which will strengthen the team. Andrew Hooper will return after having the opportunity to play VFL senior football with the Roosters for the past 2 weeks and Josh Cowan will also return after a 6 stint on the sidelines after fracturing his wrist mid July. Cowan has worked extremely hard on maintaining his fitness levels during that period and club and AFL Medical staff have given him the green light to play early this week.
The Cannons will also be close to full strength and will be full of confidence after defeating the Rebels in both encounters this year. The Rebels players and coaching staff are not dwelling on the past games and are aware that they must all contribute and lift their intensity over the entire 4 quarters of the match.
Finals football is all about which team has the will to win and prepared to work the hardest and the Rebels will leave no stone unturned in their pursuit for finals success.
