The North Ballarat Rebels take on the Geelong Falcons this Sunday at 10.30am at Skilled Stadium in Round 9 of the TAC Cup competition.
The Rebels are currently sitting 2nd on the
TAC Cup ladder only 1 win behind the undefeated Falcons.
The game will be the curtain raiser to the Round 1 clash between Vic Country and Vic Metro in the 2009 NAB AFL National U18 Championships which will start at 1.30pm.
The Rebels were tested last week by the Northern Knights and held up under pressure to record a 4pt win. The Falcons have been the benchmark all year and the Rebels are enthusiastic about playing the best team in the competition thus far.
The Rebels will welcome to debutants into the team this week which will add to the enthusiasm of the team. Running utility Nathan Kelly (Horsham Demons) and 199cm tall Jordan Dillon (Sth Warrnambool). Kelly has been in fine form with the Horsham Demons Senior team and is coming off a best on ground performance in the recent Interleague game. Big Jordan Dillon is coming off a toe injury that caused him to miss his Round 1 debut with the Rebels and has shown good form with South Warrnambool.
