ABOUT THE ROLE

AFL SportsReady currently has an exciting position available for someone wanting to pursue a career in the sporting industry.  

The successful applicant will be legally employed by AFL SportsReady, but will work on-site with Hawthorn Football Club and Eastern Ranges TAC Cup Region and receive an accredited Sport and Recreation qualification (on successful completion).

Reporting to the Eastern Ranges TAC Cup Region Talent Manager, the purpose of this role will be to support the development of Hawthorn FC / Eastern Ranges TAC Cup Region.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the coordination of running the Hawthorn Next Generation Academy Program
  • General administration duties at the Eastern Ranges TAC Cup Region.
  • Liaise with staff, coaches and parents
  • Assist on match day and training nights as required for the Hawthorn Next Generation Academy and Eastern Ranges TAC Cup Region.
  • Capture and edit match and training vision
  • Other duties as reasonably directed



SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

  • A permanent right to work in Australia
  • An understanding and interest in Australian Rules Football
  • An understanding of social media
  • Strong computer and technical knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
  • Great organisational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Capacity to problem-solve
  • Attention to detail
  • Working with Children Check

Preferred

  • Valid Health Care Card
  • Work experience in the sporting industry or in administration
     


SALARY

The successful candidate will receive:

  • National Training Wage Award ($19,000 - $25,000)  + 9.5% Superannuation
  • Fully funded qualification
