Congratulations to Jacob Ballard who made his AFL Debut with Fremantle on Saturday against Port Adelaide. Jacob has worked hard along the way to make his debut, initially overlooked in the 2012 draft he spent a year with the Northern Blues in the VFL before being rookie listed by Fremantle in 2013. He has had two very consistent seasons at Fremantle’s WAFL affiliate Peel Thunder and finally got rewarded with an opportunity in Round 23 this year. Jacob was a late inclusion on Saturday and started the match with the Substitute vest. He was injected into the game late in the third quarter and went on to collect 6 possessions.
We wish Jacob all the best moving forward and hope to see him gain more opportunities next season with the Dockers.
