For the second successive year, the Northern Knights joined forces with the North Ballarat Rebels players’, to take part in a driving activity, where all Learner Drivers were asked to drive to the Rd 6 TAC Cup clash between the two teams at Eureka Stadium, North Ballarat last Sunday 6th May.
This TAC Initiative provided an opportunity for all ‘L’ Plate drivers from both teams, to gain over an hour’s driving experience in a range of various driving conditions. In the Knights case, they experienced both city streets and country highways, on their journey from metropolitan Melbourne to North Ballarat.
Knights Region Manager Peter Kennedy and North Ballarat Region Manager, Phil Partington both agree that inexperience is one of the major cause of crashes on our roads. “Both Clubs care about the safety and well being of our Squad members and are committed to conveying TAC’s ‘Speed Hurts’ message to our players, their parents and the wider football community” Kennedy said.
