MILESTONE GAMES
Recognition of game’s-played milestones in footy is something that the players, their families, friends, and their teammates see as an important part of their football experience. In Junior footy, a banner is often made to run through before the game when a player reaches 50 and 100 games. It is not compulsory. Some players share a banner with other kids reaching a milestone at a similar time.
At our end of season functions any milestone achievers will also get a medal from the club.
If you would like to make a banner, the club has pvc poles in the lower blue shed at falcon oval that can be borrowed and put back for everyone to use. The shed is usually open during the season, Monday to Friday from 4.30 to 6pm and during games.
Party Plus has large rolls of crepe paper. Some have also bought cheap plastic tablecloths and put small slits in it and tell their child where to rip from! Letters can be downloaded from the internet. There are lots of instructions online on how to make a banner!
