The Inverell Saints will enter unfamiliar territory next season with the stepping down of President Gerry Traveira at the recent AGM. Gerry has been the head honcho for the entire history of the Inverell Saints and his contribution to the club to take it from pipe dream to premiers in three years is testament to his hard work and dedication. Gerry has always been willing to put everything into the Saints and we will miss his leadership and passion.
The Saints have found the perfect replacement in former coach Dick Gleeson. Dick has been around plenty of clubs in the past and he has a sound knowledge of what it takes to run a club effectively. Dick will be supported by coach and vice president Darren Bailey, with Janelle Kimmince retaining her role of Secretary. Matt Harrison has come on board as Treasurer and the general committee is Gerry Taveira, Scott Wilson, Chris Pay, Jono Elphick, Tim Ellis and Nick Baird.
A social committee has been formed this year and will oversee two major social events in the year. It is being headed up by Chris Whitton, with Justin Pay, Darren Pithers, Bruce Wall, Robyn Krause, Annie Gleeson and Corey Borthwick helping out.
