The Roos have been in red hot form with a big win last week against the Bulldogs and a strong local derby performance against The Tamworth Swans a fortnight ago. The Saints and The Roos are the in form teams of the competition and this game will be a big test for both clubs. What is certain is that the Saints will finish on top of the ladder but the Roos could well finish second if they continue their good form. These two clubs have played some tough even games over the past couple of seasons and this match on Saturday should be a beauty. It is hard to tip against the Saints at home but they will need to be at the top of their game to beat the Roos and I'm tipping the Saints in a hard game.
The Muswellbrook Cats need to bounce back today after some ordinary mid-season form. They come up against a Tamworth Swans side who were thrashed by the Inverell Saints in Tamworth last weekend, and they will be under pressure to hang on to fifth spot if they lose today. The Cats are end of season specialists and always seem to find their best form around finals time. I'm tipping the Cats to bounce back today and start their charge towards the semi-finals with a big win over The Swans.
In the third match this weekend the Nomads clash with Gunnedah Bulldogs in Armidale and The Nomads are also seasoned campaigners around finals time. The Bulldogs will be the team under pressure today because a loss would end any chance they have of sneaking in to 5th spot on the ladder. The Nomads are due for a big one and with a finals series just around the corner they will be too good for the Bulldogs who have put in some strong performances this season and are a club on the re-build.
Disko's tips: Saints, Cats, Nomads.
