The club's first home game of the season is against the Gunnedah Bulldogs on April 21st followed on the May 5th by a re-match between the Saints and Armidale's New England Nomads. Both games will kick off at 5.30pm. Last season games under lights attracted record crowds to AFL games in Inverell and, with the prospect of a home final under lights later in the season, the club is once again looking forward to strong spectator numbers this season.
In the meantime, the club is training strongly under the direction of coach Dick Gleeson and newly appointed captain Jason Gobbert. The club has attracted several new and experienced players, and secured the return of one of its, and the league's, rising stars.
The Saints will play in the Tablelands Cup pre-season knockout carnival in Armidale on the 24th of March, in a bid to gain match fitness and to be ready for the season opener against the Tamworth Swans in Tamworth on April 14th.
