The opening half was a battle of the midfields as momentum swings was the trend of what was an entertaining first half with the Roos holding a 1 point lead at the first break and a 10 point lead at the main break.
A 15 minute burst by the Kangaroos blew the game apart with the injury ravaged Saints having no answer to the Tamworth teams' quick movement of the ball. A 10 point halftime deficit quickly blew out to 40 points within the opening 10 minutes of the second half.
Already missing fullback Sam Kimmince with a broken finger, the injury toll grew as the afternoon progressed losing Toby Tollis with fractures to the cheek bone folllowing a head clash early in the first term, Simon Reid (hamstring), Adrian Cox (leg), Corey Borthwick (foot) and Ryan Woolley (hip).
Trailing by 8 goals at the final break, all hope was not lost as they Saints attempted to make a miraculous comeback kicking the first two goals of the quarter.
They were coming home with a wind in their sails but crucial misses would put to bed the Saints 2015 season.
Youngster Richard Wilson was best afield for the visitors while Hayden Chappell, Jeremy Budda-Deen, Pete Dunlop, and the Schneider brothers played pivotal roles for the Saints.
Kieran TeVelde was given the huge task of keeping Roos Goal sneak Dan Overeem quiet and clearly won that battle.
The players should be complimented on the effort they showed on Saturday and use the experience as a platform for 2016.
