After defeating the Eagles by 103 points the previous week, the Saints were confident that they could repeat the result in the Elinination Semi Final on Saturday.
But once again poor kicking at goal spoilt the game and would be a concern for Coach Hayden Chappell.
The Eagles dominated the early play and showcased a free flowing & skilful use of the ball before the Saints gained control to take the lead at the opening break.
The Saints did enough during the second & third terms with Ryan Woolley and Lachie McDonald proving dangerous up forward while 2015 Gillies medalist Hayden Chappell showed why he is the best player in the league, winning the contested ball in the centre and dropping back in defence and blocking the Eagles forward thrusts.
The Eagles, to their credit, continued to hang around and made the Saints work hard for their win.
The Saints will now prepare for this Saturdays trip to Tamworth and a meeting with arch rival the Kangaroos at No 1 oval with the prize being a berth in the 2015 T.A.F.L Grand Final and a clash with the New England Nomads.
