Led by comeback kid Corey Borthwick and coach Hayden Chappell, the Saints ran riot to flog the Bulldogs by 122 points.
The Saints were without Luke Selig, Matt & Damon Harrison and the Cosgrove twins but regained the services of Borthwick, Jamahl Blair, Tom Williams, and Mick Corcoran. It was the first game for both Borthwick and Corcoran over two season.
After an even first quarter, the Saints went rampant with a seven goal second term with Ryan Woolley looming dangerous up forward. He was ably assisted by newcomer Joel Chapman who booted three for the afternoon.
Chris Schneider impressed in the ruck and controlled the ball in the air and on the ground as is starting to develop into an important player for the Club
An 11 goal to 2 second half would've pleased Chappell as the Saints showed glimpses of high skills in the slippery & muddy conditions.
The only sour note for the home side was the injury to Kyle Payne who seemed to roll an ankle during the last term.
The Saints will now prepare for next weeks clash against the Tamworth Kangaroos at Varley Oval. The game will also coincide with the Club's annual Ladies Day - raising money for the Inverell Breast Cancer Support group.
The day will commence with a Ladies game at 12:30 and the Club is inviting all ladies to dress in pink and participate in the game.
The Saints players will wear pink socks for the clash with all sponsorship from the day going to the charity.
The main game kicks off at 2pm
