The scoreline might be impressive but the Saints will still need to work harder if they're going to be a threat for this seasons flag.
The effort was lacklustre at best with the home side looking impressive in stages but still lacking the skill to hit targets forward of centre.
The Saints also gave away too many free kicks which coach Hayden Chappell will need to address at training next week.
The Swans tried all day and at times during the second half looked the better team. They wanted the ball more and had more numbers at contests which would be of some concern to the Saints selection panel.
Dylan Hogg, playing his second game for the Saints, played extremely well in the ruck and at centre half forward while Hayden Mc Donald and Andrew Schneider showed glimpses of what they're capable off.
The Saints will now prepare for this weekends clash against the Bulldogs in Gunnedah.
