A poor first quarter and sills let the Saints down as the Nomads went onto score a comprehensive 72 point victory.
The Saints had no answer to Nomads forward Weston Whitby who kicked 11 goals for the game, kicking 6 in the opening quarter.
Without the likes of Russ Brien, Kieren Te Velde, Toby Tollis, Lachie McDonald & Jason Gobbert, the Saints lacked the experience and physical preesence to match it with the Nomads.
Saints youngsters Jamahl Blair, the Cosgrove boys, Cam Turner, Kyle Payne and Damon Harrison all played well and will be better for the experience.
Harrison's attack on the ball was aggressive and fearless ( like his old man ) and was one of the Saints better players on the day.
Sam Kimmince continued his good start to the season with a stellar performance at full back while Adrian Cox showed glimpses of what he can bring to the table in the backline.
Nick Baird suffered a back injury during the third term but managed to play out the rest of the game and is expected to be fit for the Eagles clash.
The Saints will have two weeks off due to the Anzac public holiday this Saturday and the bye the following week before heading to Narrabri to tackle the Eagles in Round 4 on the 9th May.
