The Inverell Saints went to Tamworth confident of a good showing yesterday, but sadly got a reality check.
In the first quarter the Saints were out played by a well drilled running side, with our only highlight being a spectacular goal by Mick Munro.
Quarter time Scores
Saints 1-3-9 Swans 7-5-49.
The second quarter was much the same as the first, with the Saints failing to man up and put pressure on thier opponents.
Half time Scores
Saints 2-4-16 Swans 12-7-79.
Coach Dick Gleeson gave the Saints a much needed tough verbal assesment of thier poor first half showing. And having taken this on board came out fired up in the second half and out scored the Swans in the third term by 3 goals to 1 goal.
3rd quarter time scores
Saints 5-6-36 Swans 13-9-87
In the final quarter the Saints were just looking to get some much needed confidence back in their style of play. Again the Saints out scored their opponents by 4 goals to 3 goals and were left wondering if only we had started well against them anything could have happened.

Saints 9-8-62 Swans 16-10-106
