The second quarter was a good one for the Saints although their kicking let them down, 4 goals 7 behinds. With the Dogs being held to just one goal for the term, the Saints went in at half time all fired up with a lead of 25 points.
In the third quarter the Saints showed what they could do when they combined as a team, playing some of their best football for the year. However, the Dogs went into three quarter time all fired up by a goal kicked from the boundary line after the siren, giving them 3 straight goals for the quarter. As expected, the Dogs came out barking in the last quarter with the Dogs kicking 2 quick goals and the Saints looking a little tired after a big third quarter. It was a nervious time for us. However, the Saints dug deep and fought hard to close the Dogs down. Both teams kicked one more goal each for the game. So after a hard last quarter the Saints won by 29 points.
