Coming off a vital win last weekend against the Roos, the Inverell Saints face yet another crucial match this weekend when they play host to the New England Nomads. As was the case last week, this match will have a huge effect on the make up of the top 4 come season end, with the winner on Saturday having a good claim on the 2010 TAFL Minor Premiership.
The Saints are coming off a good win over the Roos, and the Nomads easily handled the Cats at home last start. Both teams are in the midst of season high streaks, the Saints currently have 6 in a row and the Nomads are on the back of 4 in a row. On paper this match appears to be the match of the round and in reality it should be.
The Saints will come in a little under strength, with some late injuries and unavailability of some Auskick dads forcing some changes to the lineup. The Saints do welcome back legend president Dick Gleeson to provide some much needed experience to the team but the losses of Luke Selig and Keiran Te Velde will hurt the Saints midfield.
This match has huge implications to the 2010 Country Energy TAFL competition so make sure you get down to Varley Oval this Saturday to check it out. All the action starts at 2pm.
