The Saints face the longest road trip in footy this Saturday as they face the Muswellbrook Cats at Werriman Field. This match looms as a tough encounter as the Saints have to deal not just with the opposition 22 but also the prospect of a long bus ride as well. Add to this is the fact the Cats have been very competitive at home this year and a win is only around the corner for them.
The Saints will travel with a strong side, missing a few players through illness and injury. The Saints will play with a side that is largely unchanged from last week, a side that scored a good win at home over the Bulldogs. Jason Gobbert will lead the players through the middle, with livewires Tom Williams and KJ Te Velde looking to get first use form the big man. Mick Viney will lead the forward line, with 9 goals last week extending his lead in the TAFL goalkicking tally. Sam Kimmince will have a tough job at full back this weekend, but the youngster has been a rock at full back this year and will look to continue his stellar form.
This will no doubt be a tough and bruising affair and a tough ask for the Saints to come away with 4 points. The bus will leave the Royal at 7am sharp so all players should be there ready to go.
