Game Day Volunteers Requirements
Many volunteers are required for each game to ensure the game can begin. If everybody assists by sharing the duties throughout the season, it makes it much easier and enjoyable for all. Please assist when the Coaches or Team Managers seek volunteers.
Each age group has a set of instructions for their key roles. Please 'Click' on blue instruction links for the full description of the role.
Under 6 : Coach, Team Manager, Field Umpire, Goal Umpire, Time Keeper (home games only), Ground Marshall (home games only).
Under 8 - Under 10 : Coach, Team Manager, Goal Umpire, Time Keeper (home games only), Ground Marshall (home games only), Canteen assistant x 2 (home games only).
Under 11 : Coach, Team Manager, Runner, Water Carrier x 1, Goal Umpire, Boundry Umpire, Time Keeper (home games only), Ground Marshall (home games only), Canteen assistant x 2 (home games only).
Under 12 - Under 16 & Youth Girls : Coach, Team Manager, Runner, Water Carriers x 2, Goal Umpire, Boundary Umpire, Time Keeper (to be supplied by both teams), Trainer (if accredited), Ground Marshall (home games only), Canteen assistant x 2 (home games only). Youth Girls must have a female as either the Coach or the Team Manager.

Oranges/ Fruit Provider (optional) – their may be a volunteer that will brings a shared plate of fruit (oranges/watermelon/pear) to game days to be shared by the team players, sometimes lollies such as snakes, jelly babies are also good. Please let your Team Manager know if you do not wish your child to have any of these snacks during the breaks – Please also advise your child if they are not to have these foods.
Canteen Assistant – the canteen is our major source of income at the Club, it is generally open on training nights and game days, teams will be required to provide volunteers to work in the canteen during their home games. We also have the opportunity throughout the season to open the canteen for other events held by BJAFL at our grounds, where volunteers are often called upon, please do not hesitate to assist in the canteen where possible, all funds raised are put back into the club and can only operate if we have enough volunteers.
