New clubrooms will be built on the Williamstown Road side of the ground as part of a $4,700,000 upgrade of North Port Reserve. The new clubrooms will include two home dressing rooms, gymnasium with warm up/down area, new kiosk and can bar, a function and social room that can seat 300 people. Administration area and coaches offices will be included in the development. The two home dressing rooms will enable the Reserve team to move off the oval when their game is completed rather than sitting around on the oval.
The Norman Goss Stand will also be upgraded and refurbished with the second dressing room being reinstated giving visiting teams similar game day facilities to Port Melbourne. A lift will be installed to enable mobility impaired people to view games from the grandstand.
The existing visitor dressing room will be converted to umpires rooms with provision being made for female umpires.
There will be new game day entries from Williamstown Road and Ingles Street and new public toilets replacing the existing will be built. Work is expected to start in the second half of 2010.
This redevelopment is a joint project of Port Melbourne Football Club, City of Port Phillip, Victorian Government and AFL Victoria.
