Dalyston Football Club Code of Conduct
All persons attending or participating in a match controlled be the Dalyston Football Club are bound by this Code and will be expected to:-
- Treat all Club property with respect and integrity
- Appreciate the Club jumper, training warm up tops and Club equipment, they are not to be misused or treated with disrespect
- Use warm up tops are only for warm up and interchange or injured players
- Not use offensive or obscene language to any umpire, player, official or spectator
- Not dispute the decision of an umpire or official in an aggressive or offensive manner
- Not assault any other person
- Not behave in any way contrary to the spirit of the game
- Not behave in any way which disturbs the enjoyment of the match by any other person or brings discredit to the Club
- Not act in such a way as to exhibit racial intolerance by language or conduct to any other person
- Accept the reasonable directions of an official appointed by or representing the Dalyston Football Club or an official of the Alberton Football League
- Any person contravening Rule 1 of this Code will be reported to the Dalyston Football Club Committee who will decide a penalty, if any
- Any person contravening Rule 1 of this Code and who does not cease from the offending conduct when instructed, such person will be asked by the Committee representative to leave immediately
Persons who do not exercise control over their behaviour may be called upon by the Dalyston
Football Club Committee to accept responsibility for such offence and the following penalties will apply.
- For a first offence - a fine and/or a 1 (one ) match suspension
- For a second offence - suspension for a total of 4 (four) matches
- For a third offence - suspension from the Club for the remainder of the season or
- permanent expulsion from the Club in accordance with the requirements of the Constitution of the Dalyston Football Club.
All players are to be handed a copy of this Code at the time of registration.
You are reminded that the purpose of this Code is to provide you with an enjoyable and safe environment where you are able to develop, gain personal fulfilment and satisfaction through friendly competition.
Remember:-
1. Never abuse you team mates
2. Be a good sport on and off the field
3. Play within the rules
4. Never become involved in foul play
5. Respect the umpires decision. Leave any questions for the umpire to your Captain
6. Never use offensive or obscene language
7. Shake hands with the opposition players and officials after the match - win, lose or draw
8. Strive to win
