Noosa U16
Kawana is always a tough side to get over especially on their own turf, so we knew we were in for a tough day at the office. As per the script they bounced out of the gates well and kicked 4 goals to nothing in the first 10 mins.
Our boys, after being a little shell shocked, pulled themselves together and started to apply the structures and systems to stem their flow. By half time we had really started to team well and were comfortably in front.
The second half saw Noosa Tigers really put the “foot on the accelerator”, the ball was being shared well with many chipping in with goals. The team forced the ball forward where Wil O’Dwyer capitalised with 8 goals 2 in an impressive performance for an on baller/forward.
He was ably assisted by Noah Evans who finished up playing CHB and dictating many attacks up the ground, Flynn O’Toole was again in the thick of things playing on the wing and then going to the half back flank. Paddy Browman was very powerful and really showed the endeavour and commitment required to create success and finally Rayne Marshall who is making it a habit of playing well against Kawana.
Over all a great team effort and very satisfying for the team belief with only two games to go before the season proper draws to an end.
Next week we have Maroochydore at Home, it will be our biggest test playing the top side. We look forward to playing on our home deck again and once again testing our team structures and systems.
Go Tigers.
