“Our first half of the season has been great; everyone improving in all areas of softball. Pitching and catching has improved out of site. We welcomed a new player at the last game; he has lots of potential. We are looking forward to the next half after the holidays. I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year; all stay safe, see you all next year !!!!” Adele Collie, Coach
“My under 13's started slowly but all got revved up and enjoyed their game. Special mention to the catchers last Saturday, it was quite hot but they did well. They played a team from Saints who came down from 13As; all performed well and enjoyed it, that's all a coach can ask for. Special thanks to Craig (Myranda’s dad) who helps me at the games every week.” Adele Collie, Coach
2016/17 Summer Season
Play Softball Over Summer & Have Fun
Wilston Grange Softball Club is still recruiting for the summer season for our under 13 mixed team (still 12 years old as at 31 December 2016), under 15 boys' team (still 14 years old as at 31 December 2016) and open women's B and C grade teams.
Want to keep fit and active and play sport over the summer months, meet new friends and have fun? We are all about enjoying ourselves.
If you have never played softball before it doesn’t matter, as we will get you up to speed quickly.
We play on Saturdays at Downey Park, Windsor, commencing in October 2016 through to March 2017 with a four week break over Christmas.
Training is on Wednesdays at Keith Beavis Oval, Windsor Park, Blackmore Street, Windsor. You are welcome to come down and have a "no obligation" try out at one of our training sessions on any Wednesday (juniors 5:00 to 6:00 pm and seniors 6:00 to 7:30 pm) and meet our family-friendly committee and some of your potential teammates.
See if softball is for you and remember, we cater for all ages and abilities. Everyone is important and receives the encouragement and coaching they need.
