Our Year 9s had an outstanding season finishing on top of the ladder. They were really only challenged by Redcliffe & as expected, faced them in the Grand Final.....

Year 8s finished on top of the ladder, with only one loss throughout the season.
That loss was to Mt Lawley. The Grand Final was payback time....

What a bunch of bogans!

Thanks to all who attended our Bogan Bingo event on Saturday 26th August 2017!

We had close to 100 bogans rock up (and rock out!). Organised by CJFC, we owe thanks to the committee for putting the event together, the wonderful businesses and individuals listed, for their donations, and an especially big cheers to Kerrie for jumping in and helping to make the night such a great success.

Auskick Wind-Up Fun!

What a fantastic time we had on Saturday 26th of August at our Auskick Wind Up! Between the bouncy castles and activities, mini games (including tug o' war!) and the free raffles, it was a blast - and everyone enjoyed a sausage sizzle to finish the morning.

Year 6s Steal the Show!

On the 12th May, during the half time break of the West Coast Eagles and Western Bulldogs game at Domain Stadium, our Year 6 Broncos played in the Little League game! They took the field in front of over thirty-eight thousand spectators and did Chittering proud.

Mother's Day

On Sunday 14th May, we went crazy with the pink to spread breast cancer awareness and celebrate Mother's Day! With our pink decorations, even down to the pink lines marked on the oval, free coffee, cake & raffles for the mums, we had a fantastically pink day.

City of Swan Twilight Multi-Sports

Thanks to everyone who came down to the Twilight Multi Sports event at Pickett Park on Friday 20th Jan. We don't know who had more fun - the kids playing or the big kids running it! Thanks Kev, Tim and Will for running some great skills drills; the committee for the set up and pack up; and the many parents who lent a hand throughout the event.

Round Robin Victory!

Broncos Year 6 joined with Upper Swan Yr 6s to form a team to compete in the Round Robin competition. With fantastic team work, the combined team went on to win the Grand Final!

All Abilities Clinic 2016

For 6 Saturdays beginning May 14th, we held our All Abilities clinic for 2016. It was fantastic to see the kids having a great time participating in the skills & activities. Thanks to Perry Read and family for your help in running the clinic!

PP & Yr 1 Gala Day

On the 5th of June, our PPs and Year 1s headed to Lilac Hill along with other Auskickers from a range of clubs to participate in the Auskick Gala Day. As you can see, they had a load of fun!

Family Fun Day

Thank You to all the committee members, parents and volunteers who helped put the Family Fun Day together. The Auskick kids appeared to have a great time, as did the adults that got involved in tug-o-war and the bouncy castles! The weather could not have been more perfect for the occasion. Hope to see you all there again, next year.

Junior Parade Day

On Monday 6th June, WA Day, a mighty group of Broncos braved the weather and headed to Steel Blue Oval for Swans V Perth & joined in the parade before the League game.

Coaching Clinic

On Wednesday 11th May, Steve Thomson (Talent Manager) & Daniel Curtis (Development Officer) from Swan Districts Football Club came out to hold a Coaching Clinic for our Broncos Junior & Youth Coaches.

Umpires Roadshow

Earlier this year, we attended an umpiring awareness, education & recruitment session held by Jeff, GT & Gerard from the Swan Districts Junior Football Umpires Association.

A large group of parents and players learned about and tried their hand at goal, boundary & field umpiring. A big thanks to SDJFUA for their time and well done to everyone who got involved!

Mother's Day

Muchea Youth Festival

The Broncos joined in with the Muchea Youth Festival on 19th March this year.

Despite the terrible weather, our small but dedicated team created the football section of the obstacle course & then guided the participants through the challenge. Here's Sue Budd and the Scout team doing their best to maneuver through the tyre obstacle. The giggling didn't help!

Donation to Remote Community

Along with many generous community members, the Broncos donated surplus goods
to the kids of the indigenous communities in the Pilbara District. Here's Club President handing over the items to Paul Coles.

All Abilities Football Clinic

The All Abilities Clinic ran for 6 weeks starting on the 30th of May. It was fantastic to have kids of all abilities come along to join the fun! A big thanks to all involved, especially Teeny Lane & Joel Taylor for organising and assisting with the clinic.

Yr 7s to Play in Grand Final!

The Year 7s defeated Hills Rangers in the Semi Final yesterday and we are very proud to say they will now go on to play in the Grand Final on Saturday 12th September @ John Reid Oval, Forrestfield. Bounce down @ 12.10pm.

Yr 7s in Qualifying Final

The Year 7s finished in third place and will be playing in the qualifying final against Upper Swan Black this weekend. Go along and support them at 10.20am this Sunday 23rd August at Jubilee Reserve, Bassendean!

Matthew Taylor (Perth Colts) and Jack Watson (Swan Districts) who played all of their Junior football at Broncos from age 8-15 years have made the WAFL STATE 18's squad.

District Achievement Award - Alan Nairn

Alan Nairn takes out the Progress Development District Achievement Award". At the recent Swans District Gala evening Alan Nairn was recognised for his work in the community with the Special Needs Auskick Centre which has been running for the past two years .
Upon receiving the award Alan also acknowledged all the club volunteers that contributed to the success of the community program.

Club Jumper History

Recently the Chittering JFC added a wonderful addition to their club rooms. Two framed jumpers recognising the former (1996-2013) and current (2014 - ) club jumper designs were mounted to honour and remember the Chittering Bronco's club history.

Yr 7 & Yr 9 Seasons Conclude

Well done to our youth teams for their efforts this season.
Final results saw the Broncos finish as follows:
Year 7 - 7th in a ten team competition (7 wins) a really awesome effort for their first year of youth football.
Year 9 - 7th in a nine team competition (4 wins) the boys battled hard all season & were one of the only teams to have Year 8's playing.

Auskick Windup

Muchea was crowded with budding young Auskickers on Saturday. The weather was beautiful as everyone farewelled Auskick for another season After the traditional grid games, trophies were awarded to the children and coaches and volunteers acknowledged. Then everyone celebrated the successful season with a sausage sizzle, drink and ice cream.

Mental Health Presentation

Recently District Manager Isaac Stewart attended Chittering JFC to speak with members of the Year 9 Youth team and deliver a mental health presentation.
As the future leaders of our club it important that our young men have knowledge of a significant community issue. The ability to recognise early warning signs may one day offer support to a friend, or community member.

Auskickers Shine at Patterson's Stadium

56 very lucky auskickers from Chittering got a once in a lifetime opportunity to take centre stage at Patterson's Stadium. On Sat 14th June they ran out at half time of the AFL match between West Coast Eagles and the Gold Coast Suns and played in front of a 31,000+ crowd. What a day to remember, Nic Naitanui's 100th, Capt Darren Glass farwelled & Brownlow Medalist Gary Ablett in action. Awesome!

Game Times - Chittering Teams in Finals

On Saturday 7th September, the boys will play the final round of a three week competition at Ron Jose Oval, Midvale. Their first game is at 9.25am. The Year 7 team have won 3 of 4 games and are still in the hunt to play in the final if they finish off strongly.

Swan Districts Player Visit

Chittering JFC recently played host to Swan Districts WAFL players Malcolm, Charlie, Jasper & Herman. Many thanks to the boys for taking the time to visit our club and assist club coaches with training drills and skills. At the end of the season, the teams enjoyed delicious hot beef & gravy rolls donated by Merf of Bullsbrook. Our thanks to Jenny & Alan for preparing.
