WABL Cap
4 WABL Div 1 & 2 representative players per team across all grades (excluding C grade) WABL Div 3 & 4 players are not taken into account with the WABL cap.

Age groups for players:
All school years in the above table refer to the child's school year in 2021/2022 (i.e. the year the season ends). Please note any reference to school years is a guide and the actual by-law refers to the players date of birth.
Please note:
If any members take a season off from playing basketball, please understand that when you return, Tangos can not guarantee that you will be able to go back into the team that you were originally playing with.
Please note that WBA have now changed to the new platform of PlayHQ

Please ensure that you do not over commit to multiple sports/activities for your child that you are unable to commit to playing regularly on the allocated days. Basketball is a team sport and requires members to commit to playing the enitre season.
TRAINING
Training courts have been allocated.
Not all teams will be allocated a training day.
Tangos are only allocated a limited number of training courts from WBA.
If your team really wants an allocation, but does not receive one, please get in contact with us and Tangos will try and hire additional courts. *Not including U8's as they train on game day.
It maybe necessary for mulitple teams to share training courts to accomodate coaches requests. Training days are not finalised/allocated until days before season starts.
COACHES
Please ensure that all coaches have completed the online registration form prior to the Summer season. Refer to the Coaches and Managers tab for the link.
Below are a few items you need to be aware of before you register.
Please be reminded that you are registering to a CLUB and not a team.
At all times our Registrars try their best to place your child in the right team and grade. Our ultimate aim is to ensure all players are in a team that will enhance their enjoyment of the game. Our Committee makes it a priority to get to know our players, so that they can be placed in a team and grade appropriate for their skill level.
Player placement requests will be considered but only after considering skill sets, player development and team dynamics. Unfortunately, not all placement requests will be able to be fulfilled.
Some team placements will be outside the control of Tangos based on the restrictions of the Association (eg WABL caps) and sometimes, we may not get it right.
If you are unhappy with the placement of your child, please contact the appropriate Registrar, via email, for discussion. Please remember to be respectful, aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated. If you cannot resolve your concern, please refer to our Fees, Payments & Refunds section of our website.
OUR CLUB NEEDS YOU for it to be able to work. Parents are expected to fill the roles of Coach and Team Manager, if these roles cannot be filled, then unfortunately the Team will not be able to participate in the Competition.
Parents are also expected to assist with scoring each week on a roster basis.

REFUNDS:
Refund cut off for Summer is now closed.
An admin fee of 10% will be withheld on Registration fees.
Any merchandise that has been purchased and you wish to receive a refund, a 15% admin fee will also apply.
If your team ceases to play prior to the season commencing due to no Coach or Manager then no refund will be offered.
If you do register and are ultimately unhappy with the team your child has been placed in then please refer to the Fees, payments & refunds section on Tangos website.
