Guidelines for Players

Uniforms

• Willetton Basketball shorts must be worn at games and can only be purchased at the Stadium Office
• Playing tops are supplied and owned by the Jets Basketball Club - they must be returned at the end of each game and cannot be worn out of the Stadiums by ANY player
• It is a Stadium rule that tops are to be tucked into shorts
• Correct footwear must be worn - for safety and skill reasons, indoor court soft-soled shoes are recommended

Conduct

• Good behaviour is expected from all Jets players at games and Club events
• Jets and the Willetton Stadium have a NO TOLERANCE policy to inappropriate behaviour and this includes calling out playing instructions to players form the sidelines
• Respect the match officials
• Players should arrive at the game and training at least 5 minutes prior to commencement. Every minute late incurs a 2 point penalty against the team unable to commence play

Health and Safety

• Please advise the Coach and Parent Volunteer of any medical condition(s)
• Include medical conditions when you register
• Players must have their own water bottle for games and training - it is unhealthy to share drink containers
• Adornments or styles in/on the player's hair and/or body must not be sharp or protruding
• Nails must be short
• All jewellery including earrings, sleepers and studs should be removed
• Newly pierced ears must be taped up to one week from piercing
• Long hair should be tied back and/or up and must not obscure the number on the back of the playing top
• Severe injuries received at training or during a game should be reported to the coach
• The Club has implemented a "Good Sports and Healthy Club Policy" which is available on the web site

Inability to Play or Train

• Please notify the coach as early as possible when unable to attend training or a game.
