Auskick Pro (U7/8s) is the next step in the introduction to Aussie Rules from Auskick Rookies. It is aimed at boys & girls aged 7 & 8. The main focus is on fun and basic skill development.
There is 1 training session per week on Fridays from 4:30-5:30pm, at Kingston Oval Players will be provided with shorts, socks and a training T shirt.
Games are played on a Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm.
The ground is divided into 3 zones, Backs, Centres and Forwards and is played over 3 x 15-minute thirds.
Players rotate through the zones after each break, giving every child the opportunity to play in each position.
- Backs go to Centres
- Centres go to Forwards and
- Forwards go to Backs.
Scores are not kept and the focus is on teaching and developing young players. Teams are made up of 6 to 9 players each side. We anticipate having a number of teams in the Central Zone competition in 2020
Mouthguards and Football boots are essential
Parental support is necessary to help us run fun and effective sessions. Parents do not have to have any Aussie Rules experience, we can all learn together with the children.
