The Neil Conlan Memorial Trophy is awarded to the Club's Most Improved Player. Neil was playing coach of Manuka from 1967 - 1968 and non - playing coach 1969 - 1973 winning 5 premierships in 7 seasons with the club. He passed away in 1978 suddenly from a heart attack at just 42.
His oldest son Michael went on to become a Fitzroy legend playing 210 games.
