Brendan was involved with the Club for a combined 35 years as a player, coach and committee member. Having commenced playing with Manuka in 1977 as an under 19 player, he made his senior debut in 1979 and played over 140 club games. He coached the under 19’s in 1982 and 83 and the reserves from 1989 to 1991. Following his playing / coaching days he then joined the committee in 1999 and then again in 2009 heading the Club’s football committee. Due to ill – health he passed away in 2012 but will always be remembered as a larger than life character.
The Brendan Dorman Lifetime Achievement Award is awarded to a person who has achieved above & beyond in their calling within the Club.
