SENIORS
The last round saw us travel to Penrith for an inconsequential game and no less than 12 senior players still out of selection. This gave the opportunity for Under 18's to taste senior footy before season end.
The guys were asked before the game to play the style of footy we have played and trained for all year and enjoy the last game as much as they could.
1st quarter saw us kick 1 goal and 7 behinds into the wind to the oppositions 1 goal 2 behinds which was pleasing and playing very entertaining football.
2nd quarter, kicking with the wind, the guys went out and put a winning score on the board, once again playing very entertaining football. The last 2 quarters were more of the same and great after the disappointment of not getting into the finals for 2008. To run out comfortable winners was pleasing.
A great thanks to the U18's for stepping up, especially Bubsy with a top 5 BOG performance, and I am sure they will learn a lot from the experience,
Special thanks go to Wookie Pete Stu for the help on the sideline this year, it is much appreciated. Also thanks to the support staff, such as Nick our trainer, and the Committee and best of luck to the Ressies and U18's in finals

RESERVES
Out to the bush for the last round of the 2008 season. We travelled there with a mix side as the one’s again were short players and the 3rds had a wash out so we had a side that could take it to the Rams for our last regular home and away game.
Well, we started short as Butch got called away and Slime decided NZ was a better place to be this time of year. The Rams wanted to have a game and came out of the box on fire.
We just simply again did what we have for the past month and kept feeding them the ball. Turnovers were everywhere and we just got better at it as the game proceeded. It was a game for one last look at the team before finals so we could see what a coupe of the guys had.
I spoke to Rove on the last training night as well as before the game that he needed to put his head over the ball and make more opportunities around the ground. Well, as the Ambulance was pulling away I could hear that muffled cry of “Coach I put my head over didn’t I”.
We now start the finals campaign and we are looking forward to taking on the Sharks in Rd1 and I feel we have the team to do just that. They will play a physical game and we need to match them with brutality around the ball.
We need the commitment from all the players eligible as we need to make sure we pick the right side each and every week of the finals so we end up in the main game.
Let’s focus on week one then re-group after that and David and I are extremely confident we have the goods.
See you on the paddock.

U18’s
Our last game of the season saw us away to Penrith in a game that had no bearing on our ladder position.
In chilly winds we got out of the blocks well kicking with the breeze and put 5 goals straight on the board but were unable to score in the 2nd running into the breeze. It was pleasing to see some of the boys who have been down the last few weeks getting back into good form.
The 3rd qtr saw us kick 1goal 8behinds with the wind again and then held scoreless in the last to hang on by 3 points in an entertaining last qtr.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents for their help and support this year especially David & Di Bennett, Ed Noney and Elizabeth Hudson.
After only winning one game last year to where we have finished this year is great credit to the boys but the job is only half done and we really look forward to a successful finals campaign.
