Seniors
Rd 4 saw us visit Trumper Park to meet the undefeated UTS Bats. Always a tough task as UTS is a very well drilled and skilled side. Losing one ruck rover in the warm up and another in the first minute saw the possible task become that much harder. The first quarter saw the Bats get off to a good start and a feeling of “here we go”… With our guys having to find their feet on a much smaller ground than at home, we had to settle in to our adjusted game plan. I felt the longer the game progressed the better we adjusted to the ground. No significant stars across the quarter with everybody pulling their weight.
The 2nd quarter saw once again a very tight tussle with both sides playing a very fast handball game from one end to the other. Losing Hamma just before half time with an aggravated knee injury really hampered our bench rotation again. Yet the game was balanced with 13 points in at the main break.
At half time it was discussed that we had to make the 3rd quarter our own which was the most pleasing aspect from the Coaching staff as the guys had the ability to do such and resulted on 9 shots on goal in the quarter and 4 goals to 1 putting the UTS backline under pressure.
The 4th quarter saw UTS come out as a quality side they are to step up and they kicked the first 4 from the break which really set the tone for the quarter making the win for us much more difficult. Inaccurate kicking in the final quarter saw us kick 1 goal 4 to UTS’ 6 goals 2 and ultimately reflected the difference between the two sides.
The pleasing aspect is that we are getting closer playing good football over three quarters against quality opposition. Just need that 4th to click. We look forward to the clash at Roger Sheeran in a few weeks.

Ressies
The first game at Trumper for the Bats and one that we new would come down to who wanted to fight would come out the victors on the day. The match was played at a very intense pace with possession the key to move the ball forward. All praise goes to our centre line and wing men who tirelessly fought for the ball all game.
Our backline deserve a lot of credit for not giving in and making the Bats earn their points. One thing we must capitalise on is when we get inside 50 we score and at the moment that is the difference between us and the teams above us on the ladder.
We are looking good and with a few finer points to the game we will beat the better side on the day.
We now have our home game against Penrith t look forward to and one that we will need to be on our game from the start

U18’s
A great team effort on Saturday allowed the Warriors to record it’s 3rd straight win of the season.
With Hobo giving us great first use of the football we got off to our best start of the year but some inaccurate kicking in slippery conditions let us down. Our on ball brigade of Dyl, Mobbsy and Pooley were all creating great drive forward and we went into the half time break with a 20 point lead.
In the 3rd quarter our backline really stood up and lead strongly by fullback Rob who had a great four quarter game and managed to restrict Pennant Hills to just 2 behinds.
In the last quarter we continued on with our consistent effort with great work by our zone allowing us to have 10 scoring shots and Ranga to finish with another bag of 6 goals.

2nd Division
Mac Uni visited Sydney Uni for the first time this year and came up against the usual strong Sydney University Club. With Sydney Uni really hitting their straps in Premier League leading the table, the Club has depth and strength all the way through to their 2nd Division side. Its always a tough trip going to Sydney Uni and this week proved to be no different. The boys came up against a very good side in the undefeated Sydney Uni Blue.
The first half saw Sydney dominate the game but the boys fought back in the second half holding their own. Despite the one sided scoreboard there were some good passages of play which will prove valuable in the weeks to come. One good note from the game was that the guys did not give up at any stage and kept the effort and courage going for the full four quarters.
Goldy played well taking out the Best on Ground and the Players Player award and Westy kicked the only goal for us.
