Marshy's Mid Season Report Card
DIVISION 5
Report Card Score: Essendon Bombers
A promising start but are we starting to see cracks in the armour?
Most improved player: Myles Diehm (Miley Cyrus)
Responded to being yelled at for being soft at full back to work his way into the best in his last three outings. Showing improvement every week and reading the play beautifully.
Needs to lift: Nevin Nath's Biceps (The Nipceps)
The 4th's would love to see nippers biceps get more involved. Perhaps a stint on the ball will help. The rest of Nipper's muscles are reportedly working fine. Though we haven't confirmed this with Runs&Wickets.
Highlight so far: Being Division 5, there are just too many to list however, Addo's attempted hanger, and Mud smiling as he got dragged from the ground in la la land were amongst the best. He was even lecturing people to put their head over the ball. Captain Courageous?
Lowlight so far: A loss to Manly by only 3-points really stung!
Leading goalkicker: Andrew Kent (Kenty) - 23
3 words to describe the season so far: "Plentiful. Head. Collisions." - T.Wolnizer
A few more words:
If games were played purely in the second half, the boys in Div 5 would be undefeated and on top of the ladder. Unfortunately, its a game of two halves (4 quarters even) and the lads need to play games from the first bounce not from half time. But the skills and fitness improvement keep me T-Bone smiling (Kinda like this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMIqlIJNkRA).
A wise man once said, "if the whole club was made up of guys with the endeavour of Chappo, we'd win every game". And Paul Jackson, you're not wrong! The co-captain continues to put in week in and week out and if he can stay away from the Crowie on a Friday night, he may even go close to picking up the B&F.
So if you're lucky enough to get a game in Div 5, just remember, go hard or you may not get another game for the rest of the season! Happy footballing!
Bassani Say: "It does not matter how slowly you go, as long you do not stop".
