With over 130 people in attendance, the MUAFC 2008 Presentation Night went off with a bang with Justin Whyte taking out B&F honours. Whytey took an early lead in the vote count and ended up finishing on 43 votes, 15 votes clear, with Jerome Farrell trailing on 28 votes, closely followed by late season bloomers TJ Reddin and Hugh Kirkby on 25 votes.
Whytey also received the prestigious Scott "Butch" Uglow Players Player Award as voted on by his peers.
Timmy Scoular finished the season recognised as Rookie of the Year for his efforts in stepping up into Seniors as a leading forward taking out the coveted John “Rookie” Benson Rookie of the Year award.
Club Operations Manager, Sam Millard, and Reserve Grade Coach, Lee Jefferies, shared honours in the highly prestigious Club Person of the Year Award for services on and off the field.
On-baller Alexander Lamond took out the Reserve Grade B&F by a nose on 24 votes, followed by big ruckman Troy McMurrich on 23 votes and fellow on-baller Marshy hot on his heels with 22 votes.
After a very successful U18’s season, Jarred Mobbs and Captain Dylan Brogan went neck and neck with Mobbsy taking out the B&F award with 36 votes, with Dyl close by on 34 votes followed by Red & Bubsy on 22 votes.
2nd Division tussled all year with Rowan “Stumpy” Pryor ending as clear winner on 20 votes.
