SENIORS
After a disappointing week of wet weather and not being able to train, we travelled down to Gwawley, which was always going to be a tough ask with the form they have been in. This game was always going to be a good indicator of where we are at. We got off to a good start in the 1st quarter, but once again, inaccurate kicking cost us leaving us down at the break.
In the 2nd quarter I thought that the Sharks took control of the centre and unfortunately we were unable to get our hands on the football and our inability to work hard off the ball resulted in us being down at half time.
The 3rd started off very slow with the Sharks putting the first 5 through. Something then clicked with us kicking the next 4 straight but unfortunately undisciplined play resulted in the Sharks kicking 1 against the flow which snuffed out any chance of a lead at the break. Being only 2 goals down at ¾ time gave us a chance of fighting back.
Unfortunately, in the 4th quarter, totally undisciplined football and undisciplined players arguing with umpires saw the Sharks kick away and end up winning comfortably showing the Warriors that we are just not there yet. The most pleasing aspect was Big Kev in the ruck working tirelessly as ruckman, crumber and tackler. We just needed 21 more of him.

RESERVES
A very tough day at the office up against the 2007 Premiers. We had to fight for the ball all game and in the end our fitness was the telling figure. The Sharks are a dominant side that plays disciplined football and we lost another ruckman early and had to use one of our dominant backs in the role all day.
The centre pairings again won us the ball and when we played wide and ran the ball we looked good and fed the forwards well. We did not capitalise on the inside 50s and something we need to make sure we consistently do up against good football teams. Good tenacity and the "want" for the ball made the contest strong on both sides but we were determined to stick to our game plan and fight for every possession and move the ball with a strong running game. We now travel to Trumper this week for a game that will be a test for us as we have not come close to this side and we will need to again be disciplined.

U18’s
In what was a tight contest all day the Warriors showed some fighting spirit to come away from Gwawley Park with a great win. A tight first half saw us go into the half time break with a 1 point lead; with Hobbo giving our on-ballers first use of the footy but poor disposal was hurting us.
After half time with some good straight running from Tom & Gareth in the back line and a greater effort in not turning over the football we managed to play some better football. Ranga finished with 5 goals, Bellay after quarter time sacrificed his game to do a great tagging job and Mobbsy and Dyl worked hard all game to allow us to eventually run out 15 point winners.
Mac Uni 11-8-74 beat Sharks 8-11-59
Best on Ground - Hobbo, Mobbsy, Gareth, Ranga, Dylan, Tom
