Game breaker: Brett Harland (1st Grade).
Often described as Macquarie Uni’s answer to Buddy Franklin, this tall and mobile forward has the ability to turn a game on its head in flashes of brilliance. His ability to read the play, and an innate goal-sense makes him an asset to any team. Will kick more goals than Jonathan Brown this year and can now claim he is also better looking (Too soon?).
Rising star: Andrew Moody (Under 18s).
Hailing from the Western Australian Football League, this new recruit is a class act. With both speed and skills, you wont be surprised to see Kevin Sheedy lurking on the hill with a sausage sandwich in one hand and his notepad in the other - a definite AFL draft prospect.
Key arrival: Michael O'Loughlin (Sydney Swans).
Hands down the biggest signing for any club in the Sydney AFL Competition this season. When available, Magic O’loughlin will provide a genuine target up forward and will no doubt inspire the boys to rise to the occasion. Lets hope he convinces Goodesy to make the move next season.
Needs a Big Year: Scott Uglow (3rd Grade).
Been on the list for 3 decades now and cant rely on media hype and being the club’s games record holder to secure his spot each week. Its time to start living up to the potential Butch!

”The Ressies are set for a year that even Ronnie Landas couldn’t predict” - Ranson

Off-Field:
With a full committee by his side, new President Luke Gemmill, has taken big steps forward to strengthening the future of the club as one of the dominant forces in Sydney AFL. Joining our major sponsor, The Epping Hotel, this year are new sponsors GS Projects and Triforce Sports. Treasurer, Duncan Moore, describes 2011 as a year to “reflect continued on field improvement with further financial stability”. He does admit however that unless Carter Mullins becomes the club’s own Joseph Gutnick, we may not have the funds to hold on to Troy McMurrich when GWS come knocking.

Mac Uni Supercoach
Banker: Brodie Cooper ($470,500) is a workhorse who will spend more and more time in the midfield. He enters 2011 as a 21-year who hasn't missed a game since his 2009 debut and there are gaps aplenty in the rotations on the ball.
Darkhorse: James Brackin ($221,400) was recruited as a mobile marking forward but has become a talented ball-winner high up the ground. He averaged 73 Supercoach points in 2010, his debut year, and will be better again in 2011.
Marshy's Top 5 Predictions in 2011:
- Michael O’loughlin will kick 16 goals in 3 games for the club. Rooster will kick 3 goals in 16 games for the club.
- After one too many military inspired fitness sessions, Lukey Gemmill will leave training to find his car on cinder blocks with a note that reads “Where’s your tyres now?”
- After 3 rounds, and 3 straight wins, Carter Mullins will be coerced back to first grade and return the captaincy to Nevin Nath. He will still win the 3rd Grade B&F.
- Slime will become the first player to “Map-my-Game”.
- Donnie will become the highest paid player in the Sydney AFL after Jim Granger pays him $10,000 to return to Macquarie.
