So 2009 is over and we are well into 2010 and there have been some interesting developments at Warrior Land already.
New President Lee Jefferies hasn’t taken long settling in and if his 4 hour speech at Presentation Night is anything to go by we will be hearing a lot from Lee this season. He has done some great things for the Club already and the best thing about him is he can be contacted on his mobile 24/7, get his number off the website!
Pre season has been good with some solid turnouts, the regular battlers like Rooster and Stix have been seen at many a session, and battle they are.
The Warriors have also been lucky enough to hear that Sloth wasn’t only the loosest guy at the Warriors, he was even too loose for Sydney Uni and they have let us have him back. We would like to say the same for Popey but unfortunately he has just come back on his own accord.
The Warriors have also been blessed by celebrity status David “Binger” Marshy joining the squad after his many public advert displays – check him on out on the back of Sydney Buses!!!
The joining of Macquarie Uni and the GO Foundation is huge with 2 players set to join us and will be playing 1st grade, so make yourselves known to them they are Warren Wazza Lal and Nevin “Nippa” Nath.
Slime has been his regular show-pony self in all the fitness drills, while Rove regularly waters the oval with his tears, Chappo continues to train hard and play hard and Not-So-Hot Jacko still tries to be like Hot-Jacko who is too busy to teach him as he is too busy cleaning Carters yacht.
Carter Mullins, now there is a blast from the past, Captain Courageous, still hasn’t made it down to training. He is either on the yacht or down at the RTA trying to find a more original number plate.
Balmoral beach sessions have been introduced also, and never was there a better opportunity for Deano to show off those white legs and for DK to stand around and admire all the blokes punching above their weight. He doesn’t mind tho seeing he is the king of it.
Stay tuned for further highlights at Warrior Land in pre season, as good old Rusty Trombone will have some very interesting player interviews to come shortly.
