In excess of 520 people attended AFL Sydney's Night of Nights at Doltone House, Pyrmont on Monday night. Hosted by television and radio personality, Hamish McLachlan, the night recognised the achievements of individuals, volunteers and clubs who excelled during the 2012 season.
The night started with a bang for the Jets with U18 captain Brent Johnston winning the Hart Medal in a tie with Callum Johnston from Manly. Nick Edwards polled 10 votes despite missing quiet a few games and first year player Harry Stever rounded out the top 3 for club votes for the Jets in a great effort.
Div 4 saw 13 Jets poll votes with Jesse Bray leading the charge on 11 votes, 9 behind Brad Deitz from Gosford who took out the Armstrong Medal with 20 votes. Stephen Davidson polled 8 votes 6 of those coming in back to back games while the evergreen Rod Bayne and coach Peter Kyle in his first game back also polled votes.
The Sanders Medal for Division 2 was taken out by Josiah Ayling from Camden on 23 votes to win by 7 votes. Best from the Jets was Joshua Howe with 11 votes including 3 best on grounds. 14 Jets polled votes with Captain Johno Dowl and Ash Condon both getting 6 votes followed by first year Jet David Clinch & ever reliable backman Warrick Smith
