latest details are in... the run will be on the 1st of July (Friday) and i will leave my home from Fairfield at 5:30am to cover the 22km to Denmans house in Ingleburn. I plan to arrive at around 8am where we will leave his house enroute to the 16km back to Miller. We expect to arrive around 11ish where a BBQ will be had
THE ORIGINAL STORY
It's that time of year where all common sense is thrown out the window for the sake of raising money for the Royal Childrens Hospital. After much thought and deliberation (5 minutes over lunch) Mr Christopher Denman has decided to run from his house in Ingleburn to work at Miller covering a distance of 16.8km . Now most people are probably thinking how was he convinced on doing this. The easy explanation can be told by the events of that conversation...
Christopher Denman (HH- Halfday Harry)
Peter Richardson (BB - Bodgy Bob)
** the correct conversation mightn't have went this way but you never let the truth get in the way of a good story
BB - "So i hear your running from home to work for bandage bear"
HH - "Bullshit i am"
BB - "Yeah thats the rumour on the street"
HH - "It's not going to happen"
BB - "It's for charity. You can't so no to charity"
HH - "I'll run that if you run from Windsor to Miller"
BB - "If i run from Windsor you'll run from Ingleburn"
HH - "Yep"
BB - "Ok it's a done deal"
So thats how the whole events turned out. Now Pirate being the idiot he usually is and agrees to things before researching them, thought that the Ingleburn run would be around the 25km mark with the Windsor Run being around 45-50km making it somewhat even and fair. But as it turns out, he has a 17km run ahead of him compared to my 45km run, so i think i shot myself in the foot on this one. But as a man of his word, pirate will live up to the challenge.
A date hasn't been decided 100% as Mr Denman has stated he needs time to prepare but July in the month it will happen in. One early morning, before the sun rises and the temperature is just below freezing point, both Halfday Harry and Bodgy Bob will start their journeys along the roads of sydney.
In the words of Maude Flanders, "Will somebody please think of the children"...
