THE Hawkesbury Australian Football Club is seeking support from its members for the purpose of raising funds to build facilities at Bensons Lane by way of volunteers for the Hawkesbury AFC Hawkesbury Race Day on Monday, June 13.
This event is hoped to raise between $25,000 to $75,000 to help build our new clubhouse at Bensons 3, which will benefit local sporting and schooling groups, and we need members, players and officials to aide in the success of the big day.
What is required: Silent Auction items and aide in obtaining items
We will run a silent auction in the corporate function room, which will require obtaining big ticket items, for example plumbers, electricians, builders, bob cat operators offering a day's labour, with the money going directly towards the facilities at Bensons Lane.
We require players/supporters to contact local businesses and obtain as many items as possible.
Please advise Glenn Whitney or Darren Barlow when donations have been received and who has been approached.

Raffle items and aide in obtaining items
We will run a raffle in the main arena, which will require obtaining raffle items, donations from shops etc, the money going direct towards the facilities at Bensons Lane. Required are players/supporters to contact local businesses and obtain as many items as possible, and volunteers on the day not attending the corporate event. Players, supports or officials in club shirts selling raffle tickets around the race track.

Hawkesbury Race Day Fundraising Lunch & Ticket Sales
The club is required to sell tickets for the race day corporate event. The cost per ticket is $125, with a percentage of sales going to the football club. The club is requested to sell 80 tickets (Richmond Club and Hawkesbury Race Club) have already sold 320. People who buy a ticket will receive:

Volunteer Register required
We will keep a register of volunteers available to attend the race day for the purpose of selling raffle tickets and supervising junior players when collecting donations on the day. For any person who would like to help please leave your name with James Moynihan (Spesh) or Penny Miller. The club will require a quantity of collection buckets for the purpose of collecting donations. Required will be members who are not attending the corporate function to attend the races and collect and sell tickets in the public area.
Richmond Race Club will provide free entry for participating volunteers and any players/members of any AFL NSW-ACT club wearing their club shirt or guernsey on the day.
For any person who can assist on race day please give your name to James Moynihan or Penny Miller. It is requested that club shirts be worn, which is an essential part of fundraising for the event.
Advertising
Required are publications or hand-outs of the event and our raffle and silent auctions, if someone can aide in the printing and advertising this would be great. Greater Western Sydney and AFL NSW-ACT have been approached and asked to provide big name guest speakers to the event.
