Match Preview
North Shore’s loss to Manly last week cost the Bombers the minor premiership; so we’re in action this weekend.
We’re played St George twice this season. In round 2 at Gore Hill, the night the lights were switched on for the first time, the Bombers recorded a convincing win. But the Dragons won the return game at Olds Park in wet conditions in June.
Both sides are coming off a loss in their last regular season game, so this is a test of our ability to regroup and get our form back when it’s needed. With a strong team named to play in this game, the Bombers have every chance to prevail in this final.
A win in this match would see North Shore play off against Manly next week for a spot in the Grand Final. A loss would see us into a sudden-death semi-final against the winner of the Pennant Hills v UNSW-ES game.
Henson Park
Henson Park is on Sydenham Road, Marrickville.
To get there, go through the city, then head along Broadway, turning left at City Road. Go through King St Newtown, and near the station at the fork in the road, take the Enmore Road turn. Continue straight ahead onto Victoria St.
Turn right at Sydenham Road, and the light towers will be visible on the right. Take the driveway into the ground, there is plenty of parking on site.
To get there by public transport, get the train to the city and catch the red M30 Metrobus from York St (if you’re coming from the north-east, that route starts at Spit Junction). The bus will take you to the corner of Victoria St and Sydenham Road, just a couple of blocks from the ground.
The Weather Forecast
