A belated Happy New Year to all North Shore Bombers Players and Supporters. I hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas and have started the New Year in good health.
I just wanted to update you all on some important activities which are approaching quickly as we get back into pre-season training. There have been a number of matters affecting the scheduling of these activities, and some have changed from pre-Christmas verbal communications with players.
Please enter these dates in your diaries as they will be compulsory activities for players.
Internal Trial Match and Harbour Cruise: Sunday 28 February
This day will see an internal trial match for all grades conducted in the morning, followed by a harbour cruise from 1-5pm. The location of the trial match will be at Mahoney Park in Marrickville and the harbour cruise will depart from the wharf in front of Star City Casino. The trial match will be an opportunity to have a hit out under match conditions before the team camp and the scheduled trial matches against Pennant Hills and Sydney Uni. We will then enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the harbour to welcome all players, partners, families and supporters to the new season. Further details for the cruise will follow in a separate communication however the cost will be $40 per head or $70 per couple (if two players come as a couple, one must wear a dress). The price includes a buffet lunch. Alcohol will be sold at very reasonable prices on the day.
Senior Squad Training and Development Camp: 5-7 March
Some tentative dates had been circulated for a Training and Development Camp in February but I can now confirm that this camp will be held over the weekend 6-7 March at the Singleton Army Base in the Hunter Valley. Arrangements are still being finalised however the broad plan is for a bus to depart Gore Hill Oval at 6.30pm on Friday 5th March and return after lunch on Sunday 7th March. This camp will be professionally delivered and will be a demanding training and team development activity, based on the "Leading Teams" approach. The club is extremely privileged to be able to use the Army Base facilities for this very important development activity. It is compulsory that all senior players attend. Selected U'18 players will be invited to attend. The cost per player will be $100 which includes bus transport to and from Singleton, all meals, drinks and accommodation, all use of the base facilities including indoor pool and lecture facilities. Committee members and supporters will be providing administrative and catering support for the camp in order to contain costs. More detail will be provided soon.

Season 2010 Draw
The 2010 season draw has been released which has us playing Wollongong at home on April 10 in Round 1. This is a great opportunity to kick off the season in a winning way across the grades.
First Grade will also play a total of five televised games at Blacktown, starting with Round 2 against UNSW/ES.

We are still trying to clean up and update the email lists. If you are aware of anyone who is not receiving emails from the club, or if you wish to have a different email address for club communications, please reply to this email with the appropriate contact details and email addresses.
We are currently scheduling the season's other social functions and will circulate these dates soon. We will continue to keep you updated on dates and events at the club.
