POWER PRESS
This week saw CDHBU play host to the B.B Saints. After a very competitive day of football and netball, the Power came away with three wins in the footy and four wins in the netball.
FOOTBALL
UNDER 14'S - Our Under 14's kicked off the day on a high note, outclassing their apponents by 43 points. Ben Wilson was judged BOG, while John Webb put in a great game. Damien Wilson and Kane Barbour also saw plenty of the ball.

UNDER 17's - The Under 17's started the game in front and continued this for the rest of the game, winning by 29 points. In his comeback match after 3 weeks out Nathan Rhodes made his return with a stellar performance getting BOG playing all match in the midfield. Mathew Ross was once again consistent providing a tall option up forward. Daniel Kipping and Jesse Upton were also good in the roles they played.

RESERVES - Our reserves went into the game a little undermanned, but made a real contest in the end. It could've gone either way, but unfortunately the Saints were in front at the final siren. Ian Bock continued on with his superb season, winning BOG, while Dean Fitzgerald was solid down back and Dave Lethbridge and Dustyn Nixon put in good games.

SENIORS - Our seniors had a troublesome time in the first half of the match only leading BB Saints by 2 goals at half time. After a rev-up at half time by injured coach Lindsay Semour the power came out firing in the second half obliterating their opposition and only conceding 3 more goals after half time. The young Levi Roos running off centre half back was dominant over his opponent and giving heaps of the ball to his forward line. Troy Habermann was once again providing the power with his huge marking ability and also scoring 4 goals for his team. Paul Phibbs found plenty off the Sherrin in the midfeild while Brendan Holmes was providing some entertainment for the crowd with some high flyers.

NETBALL
MODS - Our youngsters started the day with a game against themselves. CDHBU Red were too strong for the CDHBU Black. For the Red team, Caroline Svarc & Tess Wilson were outstanding, while for the Black team Meg Clohessy & Hannah McDonald were the standouts.

JUNIORS - Our Juniors again produced a superb win, this week by 26 goals. The girls, who are coached by Simo Hanrahan & Loz Filliponi, are sitting comfortably on top of the ladder, so keep up the good work girls. Jordan Bryon put in a strong performance and Ellen Reeves played a great game.

INTERMEDIATES - Our Under 16's were far too good for their apponents, winning by a massive 53 goals. Caitlin Hanrahan was judged Best on Court, while Karlin Walker was strong in goals.

C RESERVE - Our C Reserve put in a mighty effort but were overpowered by their apponents. Carmen Hanrahan was once again strong in defence, while Penny Reeves put in a good game in goals.

C GRADE - For the second week running our C Grade played out a thriller, this week going down by two goals. Laura Marding was superb in GD, while Jacqui Kuschert and Nicole Matthews put in 100%.

B GRADE - Our B Grade played a great game and with the scores level at three quarter time it was going to be a nail biter, but the Saints stepped up a gear and run over the top of us in the final quarter. Catherine Svarc was terrific in the midcourt, while Sally Smith and Linda Revell were solid in defence. Young Ruby Svarc stepped up to play for the B Grade and put in a fabulous game, so thanks Ruby.

A GRADE - Our A Graders were too strong for their opponents, winning by five goals. Tamsyn Bainbridge put in a stellar performance to take out BOG, while Brianna Hanrahan was great in goals and Simone Hanrahan was strong in defence.
