Inaccurate kicking and the lack of score board pressure hurt the Power in their 22 point loss to flag favourite Brock Burrum at Coreen.
It was a perfect day for football, but the tackling and pressure was on from the first bounce and with both sides missing easy chances at goal saw a goalless first quarter with the Power leading at quarter time 5 behinds to 4 behinds.
Cody Milne was providing great drive from the backline and with Tim Cooper also on top the Saints were finding it hard to score. Jeremy Stevenson and Kade Rowe were winning plenty of the ball but the Power couldn’t put the score on the board as they kicked 2.5 to 1.2 for the quarter to lead 2.10 to 1.6 at half time.
The lack of scoreboard pressure hurt the Power in the as the Saints kicked two goals in the first 2 minutes after half time to hit the lead. Adam Houlihan got the lead back for the Power, but the Saints kicked straight kicking the last 3 goals of the quarter to lead at the final change 6.8 to 3.14.
Cody Keenes was playing well down back with Cooper and Milne but the Saints were much clean near goal as they kicked the first 3 goals in the last quarter before Power were able to reply with the last 2 goals at the Saints ran out 22 point winners , 9.14 to 5.16.
The middle two quarters hurting the Power as they kicked 3.9 to the Saints 6.4.

The Reserves had another slow start, this time against the Saints which saw the Power down by 21 points at quarter time with Sean Hanrahan and Jack Wynne playing good games. With Brad Lewis goal in the 2 quarter gave the Power some hope, but they were still down at half time. The half time break gave the Power time to regroup. The 3 quarter saw a great come back with Tyson Burdon giving great drive, and Chris Pringle kicking 2 goals along with goals from Tom Renshaw and Ryan Rhodes the power hit the front for the first time. A late goal to the Saints got them back the lead just on 3 quarter time. A great last quarter but the Saint manage to kick they only 2 goals in the last quarter as the Saints won by 17 points, 8.10 to 5.11.

After two big wins for the Under 17s they come up against the Saints. The 1st quarter saw a good battle with a goal to Andrew Phibbs but for the first time this season the young Power was behind at quarter time but only by a point. With Cam Wilson and Jamie Walton continuing their fine form and goals to Steve Cordwell and Andrew Phibbs adding again to his goal kicking tally the Power wrested back the lead at half time by 6 points. After half time the boys had to work to win this one ,with Mac Mc Farland and Jess O,'Donogue getting plenty of the ball the Power were able get a break on the Saints, along with Steve Cordwell kicking 2 second half goals, and both Jamie Walton and Andrew Phibbs goals the Power ran out 19 point winners. Final Score 8.6 to 5.5.

The Under 14’s made it thre from three with a big 85 point win. Patrick Lavis was on fire in his first game of the season and with Bailey Minogue and Matthew Bush dominating the Power were able to dominate from the first bounce. Youngsters Jai Kilpatrick and Stirling Letchford played well for the Power along with Dougal Robb and Ethan Hanrahan as the Power ran out 13.8 to 0.1 winners.
