The Power finals pulse is just flickering after they had a thrilling 6 point win over Holbrook at Holbrook.
For the Power to make finals they need to defeat the third placed Brock-Burrum Saints then hope that Holbrook can defeat Lockhart and Rand Walbundrie defeat Jindera.
The Power started well, playing their best football for the season with a blistering opening quarter. The pressure was fantastic and the ball use superb, with Brad Talbot and Josh Lewis on top in the centre and with forwards Matt Robinson, Alex Wallis and Jeremy Stevenson looking dangerous the Power slammed on 7 goals to take 24 point lead into quarter time.
Holbrook started to get back into the contest in the second quarter as they kicked three goals for the quarter, but with Nathan Rhodes using the wide spaces of the ground to his advantage the Power was able to kick two goals as well to still hold a 17 point lead at half time.
Injuries to Tim Cooper & Matt Robinson robbed the Power of their bookends and with the Power starting slowing in the third, Holbrook banged on three quick goals to take the lead. Wallis was marking everything coming his way and Lewis & Talbot were giving their all but some silly mistakes allowed some easy goals to Holbrook as the Brookers led 12.6 to 11.7 at the last change.
Coach Talbot asked for a big last quarter, and the players responded. Blaize Naughtin, Michael Kreun, Sam Burdon and Andrew Ollington were strong in defence as they allowed only 3 points for the quarter. Madden Lohse with a strong mark levelled the scores half way through the quarter and when Joel Rippingale produced some strong work in the goal square and snapped a goal the Power was a goal up with 5 minutes to play. The players with smart ball use, hung on for the last 5 minutes to ground out a good win.

The Reserves had their 7th victory of the season with a strong 41 point win over Holbrook.
With unavailability striking the team, a SOS went out for players and a few veterans answered the call with the Power able to put a side out on the ground.
The Power started well with Damien Talbot and Matthew Butt staring early but a few lapse in defence allowed Holbrook some easy goals as the Power only held a point lead at quarter time.
The Power made their move in the second quarter, with Shay Rhodes and Paul Phibbs dominating the mid field and Jordan Lavis a rock at centre half back the Power kicked 4 goals to nil for the quarter. Coach Clint Renner showed his class up forward with 3 goals without leaving the goal square.
The third quarter was an even affair with a goal each as the Power led by 29 points going into the last quarter.
The Power cruised to victory in the last quarter with Nathan Allan, Alex Dickinson & Billy Raggett all playing well as the boys kicked 3 goals to 1 to run out 11.7 to 5.2 winners.

The Thirds had a thrilling 5 point win over fellow finals bound Holbrook on Saturday.
It was a close game all day with the Power behind at each change, trailing by 1 point at quarter time, 7 points at half time, and 6 points at the last change.
Jack Wynne, Tim Heagney and Dylan Cornell were leading the way for the Power, while Finn Reeves, Jordan Lavis, Josh Tidd & Andrew Phibbs help keep the Power within striking distance.
When Holbrook kicked the first goal of the last quarter they got out to the biggest lead of the game, but the Power kept on fighting.
Two strong marks and goals to Matt Walker got the Power within a point, and when Heagney snapped a good goal the Power had hit the front and was able to hang onto until the siren went.

The Fourths had their closest game for the season just keeping the unbeaten record intact winning by 9 points over second placed Holbrook.
It was a tight opening with the Power taking a 2 point lead into quarter time.
With Cam Dutton, Cam Wilson, Jimmy Hanrahan & Matt Walker playing well the Power had a good second quarter but kicking for goal let the Power down as they kicked 1.5 for the quarter to 1 straight goal to only lead by 7 points at half time.
Bailey Minogue, Shannon Leahy and Anthony Carroll were playing well and with Jesse O’Donoghue & Deaklin Yates playing well the Power increased their lead to 13 points by the last change.
Angus McFarland made sure the Power didn’t lose its lead at the Power ran out 4.10 to 4.1 winners.

Netball
A Grade have virtually sealed a finals spot after a great 5 goal win over Holbrook.
With Bec Barber having a great game in Goal Attack and Megan Leahy also playing well in Wing Attack the Power was able to hold off the Brookers and register a good win, 45 to 40.
The girls hold a one game and 11% advantage over Rand-Walbundrie who have to take on top of the ladder Jindera.
While the Power take on Brock-Burrum this week in a virtual replay of Elimination Final the following week.

B Grade had a good 4 quarter performance before going down by 18 goals to Holbrook.
The girls were driving and offering well down the court with Lauren Harders and Cien Argus leading the way, but the Brookers were too strong winning 41 to 23. With the last game of the year this week, the girls are hoping to all get together for a win.

C Grade put in a brilliant effort against the second placed Holbrook only going down by 6 goals.
It was a close game all day with Karina Parr and Tegan Nolan leading a strong defence for the Power. The girls pushed the Brookers all the way before they ran out 40 to 34 winners.

C Reserve made it two wins in a row with a 9 goal win.
It was win number 7 for the girls as they defeated the higher placed Brookers. Emily Bush was terrific as Goal Shooter, while Courtney Aitken was strong in defence for the Power as the registered a really good win, 43 to 34.

The 16 and Under struggled against the third placed Holbrook going down by 41 goals.
Chelsea Ferwerda and Ellie Brewster were again strong for the Power while Chloe Gilcrist stepped up from the Under 14’s to also play well. The Brookers were way too strong as they won 56 to 15.

The 14 and Under girls also came up against the second placed Holbrook at went down by 36 goals.
The girls did their best to play a strong defensive game with Chloe Gilcrist & Alarna Sagum leading the way. The girls didn’t give up to their credit with Lillian Walton fighting until the final siren as Holbrook won 42 to 6.

The 12 and Under suffered a 14 goal loss to Holbrook.
The Holbrook girls started very strongly and never took their foot off the pedal. Brydee Lavis, Jade Lane and Brooke Ferwerda tried hard on the day to pull it back but it wasn’t the Power’s day as Holbrook won 16 to 2.

The 10 and Unders had 2 great games with a close first game and a well played second game. Molly Raggett and Olivia Smerdon play fast together in attack while Ashton Nichol and Brooke Smith worked well around the court.

The club would like to congratulate Matt Walker who brought up his 100th goal for the season after kicking 53 in the Under 14’s so far and 48 goals in the Under 17’s.
