Last week saw CDHBU play host to Holbrook in cool and windy conditions. The Power, unfortunately couldn't find a win in the footy for the day. In the netball, the Power ended the day with four wins, two losses and one draw.
Under 14's -
Our youngsters were up against the undefeated Holbrook and they pushed them right to the end, only going down by 7 points. Alex Ash played a great game and Kane Barbour and Tim Gilchrist battled hard all day.

Unfortunately our Under 17's were no match for the strong Holbrook side and were kept goal-less during the entire game. Aaron Ray tried his heart out and Eric Woodward & Stuart Deveraux had solid games.

Our reserves couldn't quite get up in the end, going down to Holbrook by 20 points. Ian Bock as usual was outstanding, while Tom Norman & Corey Healey both led from the front.

Seniors -
Our seniors didn't get off to the best of starts letting Holbrook get five goals to our zero in the first term. The Power fought their way back to be within one point at the final change. Holbrook stepped it up a notch to kick four goals to one in the last and run away with the win. Darren Boyd was superb in the midfield, Levi Roos played a great game and Wes Amor was solid in defence.

Our youngsters couldn't have had a closer game if they tried. It was neck and neck during the game with scores tied at the final whistle. Bethany Chester and Amy Underwood was terrific for the Power.

Juniors -
Our Under 14's had a bit of a scare with such a close game. They had to work extremely hard to hold on for the win. Carly Murphy put in a fine performance, while Laura Godde was sensational in goals.

Another game which could've gone either way, although the girls put in all they could, they were unable to grab the four points. Karlin Walker played outstanding, while Grace Hanrahan was great all game.

Our C Reserve continue to play great netball, this week winning 44 - 21. Lana Rhodes & Penny Reeves were brilliant in goals and Ruth Wilson was in control in the midcourt.

Our C grade were going goal for goal up until the final quarter when the Power ran away with the win. Final Scores 36 - 27. Caitlin Hanrahan stepped up this week and played a superb game, while Leah Phibbs & Tess O'Donoghue put in 100%.

B Grade -
Our B Grade led during the entire match and were six goals up going into the last quarter, but unfortunately let it slip away, going down by two. Well done to Erin Lavis and Cindy Charlton who both stepped up from C grade to fill in. Loren Filliponi is having a great season to date and was again outstanding in the goals. Karina Collins and Catherine Svarc both worked hard and fed the ball into the shooters beautifully.

A Grade -
Our A Grade are playing outstanding netball at the moment and this week had a comfortable win over Holbrook. Julie Lavis has been working extremely hard and was superb in goals, Rachel Long took control of the centre and Bip Hanrahan put in a great game in GA.

This week the Power are on the road to Henty for what will be a very competitive day of football and netball. Let's hope all grades of football and netball can come away with a win, so all supporters get there and get behind the POWER.
