CDHBU has fallen out of second spot on the ladder contention after they went down to their boggy side Jindera by 7 points in their encounter at Coreen.
Jindera started the better kicking the first two goals before Mat Walker & Brad Talbot hit the scoreboard to even things up. Jindera looked better as they kicked another 3 goals for the quarter as the Power only managed one as Jindera took a 14 point lead into quarter time 5.4 to 3.2.
The Power got going in the second quarter with Matthew Howard playing a great game across half back and with Tim Cooper and Jordan Wilson also playing well in defence and with Russell Anderson doing well in the ruck the Power kicked the first 4 goals to have a 10 point lead. Jindera hot back with 2 goals themselves before Damien Payne’s second goal for the quarter enabled the Power to take a 5 point lead at half time, 8.4 to 7.5.
The third quarter was all the bulldogs as they kicked 4 goals 3 while keeping the Power to only a point and with Jindera kicking goal after the siren they lead by 21 points going into the last quarter 11.8 to 8.5.
With first gamers Hayden Fischer & Tom Webb giving their all, along with Andrew Phibbs and Sam Burdon the Power kicked the first two goals of the quarter to get within 7 points with 10 minutes to play. But Jindera were able to steady and kick an important goal. Andrew Ollington hit back with goal but time ran out for the Power as they went down 12.10 to 11.9

In the Reserves it was the Power 4th against Jindera 2nd which set up a great challenge for the Power. It was a tight first quarter and a few missed opportunities in front of goals for the Power kicking 1.4 to Jindera 2 straight. The boys lifted in the second quarter with Ben Wilson Ryan Rhodes and Sean Hanrahan getting plenty of drive through the middle field, with Brad Lewis making the most of his opportunity up forward with 2 goals giving the Power a 2 point lead at the main change.
Unfortunately for the Power it was Jindera who came out fired up kicking 4 unanswered goals taking a 22 point lead at three quarter time. The Power came in the fourth quarter with 2 quick goals to Brad Lewis giving him 5 for the match Jindera hit back with 3 more goals to run winners by 29 points, 10.4.64 to 5.5.35.

With the Under 17’s having a few boys playing in the Seniors, it became a danger game for the young Power, and Jindera got to good start leading at quarter time by 1 goal. The Power going in the second quarter well lead by Cam Dutton, Jess O’Donoghue and Josh Tidd with some good goals to Jim Hanrahan, Jake Saville and Cam Dutton put the Power in control taking 13 points lead at half time.
The boys extended the lead in the third quarter with goals to Taylor Baker and the ever reliable Tom Hynes, who kicked 3 goals for the match, along with Mac McFarland playing well for the Power giving the boys a well deserved victory by 19 points, 7.7.49 to 4.6.30

Perfect weather conditions set the scene as the Power Under 14’s came out and started the first quarter strongly kicking four goals against an undermanned Jindera team. The second and third quarters seen some wonderful bursts of football where the Power was able to add eight goals to the score.
The boys scored 3 goals in the last quarter which provides great confidence leading into the next couple of weeks. Well done to the goal kickers, Bailey Minogue 5 goals, Jayden Collier, Angas McFarland and Lachlan Dolan all scoring 2 goals each followed by Mathew Bush, Nathan McDonald, Paddy Lavis and Caleb Kuschert all kicking one goal each.
Great sportsmanship was shown when some of our boys played for Jindera, Harrison Muscat,
Sterling Letchford, Blake Lewis, Nash Lavis and Jai Kilpatrick. Well done.
The Power came away with a dominant win 15.6.96 to Jindera 0.0.0.
